The platform where independent journalists publish, get read, and get paid — and where scattered news finally lives in one place.
OneBox is a network for journalists and aspiring writers that turns your profile into an online newspaper — and lets you collaborate with other writers.
There was a time when every company or independent professional — big or small — had its own website to show who they were and what they offered. Today that's a thing of the past: all they need is an Instagram profile, the one platform everyone uses to discover them.
News is still stuck in the old world. Every outlet runs its own site, and readers jump from one to the next chasing regional, national, and global stories.
OneBox makes that a thing of the past. Soon, news outlets — large and small — will live on a single platform, because that's where everyone will go to consume news.
“Great journalism doesn't have to be confined to big corporations.”
A working product, built end-to-end and now in pre-launch.
Personalized discovery for readers, built around quality and trust.
Write, publish, and track your articles in one view.
Turn any article into a video segment — no camera needed.
Multiple income streams built into a single platform.
Students learn to write and build a portfolio — then become independent journalists with the craft but no audience. OneBox closes that gap.
Follow your favorite writers, topics, and regions — a personalized news feed, like the major social platforms.
Enable advertising on your newspaper and keep the majority of the revenue. Real careers emerge — the way “YouTubers” did.
A newsroom invites writers, who share their stories; the parent account assembles its own online newspaper automatically.
Sharing across papers gives an unknown journalist access to major sources — and bylines in larger newspapers.
My name is Samuel. I've been a software engineer for over twenty years — spending almost half that time on projects in Italy and Germany.
I earned a degree in Internet Systems Development in Brazil, where I spent my early career building enterprise and pay-TV software. In 2015 I moved to Italy to rebuild large-scale e-commerce platforms, later transferring to Munich, Germany.
Building products at that scale taught me what it takes to go from an idea to something people actually use every day — and those lessons shaped how OneBox is built.
I'm building OneBox because I believe independent journalism is essential to a functioning society — and the infrastructure to support it doesn't exist at scale yet.
Today I'm based in Lisbon, working on it full-time. This is that infrastructure.
Partners who share the belief that independent media deserves better tools.
To accelerate product development, expand the AI video infrastructure, and grow the writer community.
Connections to journalism schools, newsrooms, and media organizations who can champion independent voices.
Experienced operators in creator economy, media tech, or AI who can help shape the roadmap.
If you believe in independent journalism and see the opportunity we see, I'd love to connect — whether you're an investor, advisor, or potential partner.
